 Va'aiga Tuigamala: Wigan and Newcastle dual code All Black dies at age of 52


Tuigamala began his profession in association, playing multiple times for New Zealand prior to changing codes to finish paperwork for Wigan.


He showed up for the club somewhere in the range of 1993 and 1997, bringing home three association championships, two Challenge Cups, a Premiership and World Club Challenge.


Tuigamala got back to the 15-man code and won the Premiership with Newcastle, likewise playing multiple times for Samoa.


"He was one of the most intriguing rugby players to play either code," Wigan chief Kris Radlinski said.


"His presence on the rugby field was enormous. As a youngster, he gave me the most valuable thing that anybody would be able, time.


"We would go through hours on the field doing one-on-ones together. It is an extremely dismal day for the club. Find happiness in the hereafter, old buddy."


Wigan say they will hold brief's quiet before their Super League apparatus against Huddersfield Giants on Thursday.
