Callum McGregor: Celtic captain signs new five-year contract

Celtic chief Callum McGregor has marked a five-year contract expansion.
The 28-year-old joined the club's childhood foundation matured eight and has proceeded to score 54 objectives in 338 appearances in all contests.
Since making his first-group debut in 2014, McGregor has won 14 homegrown distinctions, assumed a critical part in the Hoops' fourfold high pitch achievement, and has included under five unique chiefs during his great profession at Celtic Park.
The midfielder was given the armband following Scott Brown's takeoff to Aberdeen in the mid year and has begun five of Celtic's six Scottish Premiership games so far this term. He missed the 1-0 loss to Livingston.

"This is another part and I'm frantic to see the five years out and assuming I've done that, that implies it's been a beautiful effective time once more.
"That is the new inspiration for me actually, to ensure this club wins flatware and return it once again to that effective spot where we were two, three, four seasons back."
Celtic director Ange Postecoglou added: "It's splendid information for the club. Clearly it was a significant year for Cal moving forward to be the new commander and he's now shown remarkable characteristics.
"He upholds the qualities that I'm after. He gets what we're attempting to assemble and, here and there the field, he's not simply discussing it, he's living it and he's appearance the conduct that I need pioneers to show, and as I said, he's simply made his first strides yet I imagine that it's invigorating with the thing that's inevitably coming."
Following their 3-0 victory over Raith Rovers in the quarter-last of the Scottish League Cup, Celtic face Dundee United at home in the association on Sunday, prior to playing Bayer Leverkusen in Europa League Group G activity on September 30.
