Police searching for Owsley County Sheriff after fight at girls basketball game
PERRY COUNTY. KY. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police is effectively searching for Owsley County Sheriff Brent Lynch after a squabble broke out at a Perry County secondary school ball game Friday, December 3.
KSP affirms there is a functioning warrant for Lynch yet they can't find him.
Lynch is blamed for striking an adolescent in the face. The charge is attack in the fourth degree, as per KSP.
LEX 18 has gotten video film of the Perry County versus Owsley County young ladies b-ball game that shows the fight.
Lynch is an associate mentor for Owsley County young ladies b-ball. The Owsley County Judge/Executive expresses what happened was "bizarre" with the man he realizes Sheriff Lynch to be.
In an assertion, Superintendent Jonathan Jett with Perry County Schools said the groups were isolated after the squabble and one player from each group was catapulted by KHSAA b-ball authorities who were working the game.

On Friday, December 3, 2021 there was a fight between the Perry Central Lady Commodores and the Owsley County woman Owls ball groups. The groups were isolated quickly and one player from each group was shot out from the challenge by the KHSAA ball authorities working the game. It is my arrangement that there has since been an examination opened by the Kentucky State Police identified with the episode. Keeping in mind the Kentucky State Police and their examination, I have no further remark as of now.
Dr. Tim Bobrowski, Superintendent for the Owsley County School District, says the area is "completely consenting" with KHSAA's suggestions and says Lynch was suspended for one game.
"Per KHSAA's suggestions, the two groups have suspended 4 understudy competitors for 2 games," said Bobrowski in an assertion.
We contacted the Owsley Co. Sheriff's Office and they have no remark on the examination.
