Morale is high after first practice for Lobo Women’s Basketball
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Lobo Women's Basketball was back in real life at the Davalos Center. There are a ton of new faces in the current year's group and at this point, confidence is high heading into the season. "It feels better, you know there is consistently a great deal of energy with the very first moment. You know and it was acceptable, nice to get over here," said UNM Women's Basketball Coach Mike Bradbury. "The young is invigorating, in light of the fact that they are new and you don't actually have the foggiest idea what you are getting, and plainly we don't at the present time. In this way, we got far to go, however I imagine that is the most thrilling thing."
The dominant Mountain West Regular Season Champions will look much more youthful this season, as this program presently has six rookies however while they will have a more youthful look these approaching green beans come in with a ton of ability. One green bean that is standing apart is Sandia High School graduate, Viane Cumber.
Cumber has worked out with the group since the late spring and she says that she is now seeing some improvement. "Improvement-wise, I believe it's with my shooting capacity. Mentor has truly promoted off of that and I never truly acknowledged how great of a shooter I have been until he has given me a few apparatuses and is assisting me with improving each day," said Cumber.
The first year recruits get a ton of ability however it assists with having a solid center of returning players, similar to seniors Antonia Anderson and Jaedyn De La Cerda. They're using the additional season bearing in mind the end goal of being a piece of a preferred group over the year before. Their abilities will be large for this group this year however so will their administration.
"I know how it is coming in as a green bean, knowing nothing, simply being lost, it's a totally different program.
